hey! my second blog today!
how exciting! Well, I just took this personality type quiz thing on the internet to pass the bordom. so this is what it came up with:
Here are the results of your Personality Type Assessment.
Introvert, iNtuitive, Feeler, Perceiver (INFP)INFPs represent between 4 and 5% of the U.S. population
INFPs value inner harmony above all else. Sensitive, idealistic, and loyal, they have a strong sense of honor concerning their personal values and are often passionately committed to making sure their beliefs and actions are congruent. INFPs are also extremely perceptive about people. They value their uniqueness and typically seek unconventional ways of doing things. Sensitive and empathetic, INFPs tend to be exceptionally adept at reading between the lines. Although they demonstrate cool reserve on the outside, INFPs care deeply inside. They are compassionate, sympathetic, understanding and very sensitive to the feelings of others. They avoid conflict and are not interested in impressing or dominating others unless their values are at stake. INFPs seldom express the intensity of their feelings and often appear reticent and calm. However, once they know you, they are enthusiastic and warm. Feeling truly understood and respected for their unique perspective and strong values is important for many INFPs.
Your work-related strengths may include:
Thoughtfulness and the ability to focus on one issue or idea in depth
Eagerness to “think outside the box” and consider new possibilities
Deep commitment to work you believe in
Your work-related weaknesses may include:
Need to control projects or you may lose interest
Tendency toward disorganization and difficulty setting priorities
Difficulty working on projects that conflict with your values
What you need in a career for it to be satisfying. Doing work that:
Is in harmony with your own personal values and beliefs and allows you to express your vision through your work
Gives you time to develop substantial depth to your ideas and maintain control over the process and product
Is done autonomously, with a private work space and plenty of uninterrupted time, but with periodic opportunities to bounce your ideas off people you feel respect you
So, I believe that a lot of that is me. Do you agree?

Hello, I just stumbled upon your blog. I am an INFP, as well. I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a little over a year ago. I think that my natural behavioral tendancies fit with the INFP profile, quite well, especially the empathy and perceptiveness. But I can't stand the weaknesses, such as being disorganized. I definitely have to work on that. I'll put something down somewhere and then a minute later, I forget where it is. It's like an adventure trying to find my keys and my cell phone, on a daily basis. The weakness that I don't have would be trying to control things. I really don't try to control anyone or anything, because my mentality is uusally "live and let live"...unless someone is truly annoying me to no end.
ReplyDeleteI do try to avoid conflict, just because people's natural reaction is to get defensive and I usually don't want to deal with that. But there are times when I will speak up.
From reading the type descriptions, it has given me a better understanding of who I do and don'ty get along with. I would say that as an INFP, I don't like the ESTJ type. What type do you find yourself not getting along with?
